My time with my buddy has been some of the most fun I’ve ever had. The joy and fulfillment that I get from hanging out and mentoring him is unmatched. Whether we are at a mentor-buddy event or just chilling at his house, we always have fun and feel great by the time we’re done.
I love our conversations about things that interest both him and I, which usually involve cars, vacation, or the weather in faraway places. Hearing his perspective on all sorts of topics makes me think and leads to super cool and fun conversations. Playing board games with him is always fun as well, and I’ve still yet to beat him in checkers; he is seriously impressive at it. I’m super grateful for my buddy, and so glad that I matched him.

Our son has been incredibly fortunate to have such a positive and supportive mentor in his life. Through their time together, his mentor has encouraged him to be himself, share his interests, and engage in meaningful conversations, while also creating a friendship built on trust and genuine enjoyment.
We have seen how much he looks forward to their time together and how much confidence and happiness he gets from having someone who takes a sincere interest in him. It is clear that their relationship has had a meaningful impact on our son, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive influence, encouragement, and friendship his mentor has provided.
