About AFK

Our Story

Athletes For Kids is a non-profit, community organization based in Sammamish, Washington. Our program began in 2001 as one family’s response to their own child’s needs.

After setting up a mentoring relationship for their son who was struggling with Tourette’s Syndrome, and seeing a tremendous difference in the child’s life because of this one important friendship, our founders, Ken and Liz Moscaret decided to share the concept with other families of special-needs children.
